Wild Whiskers

For instant silliness -- or a last-minute Halloween costume -- set up your kids with these paper mustaches.

Materials
  • Black card stock
  • Pencil
  • Needle
  • Magazine photograph
  • Glue
  • Clear elastic beading string

Instructions
  1. On black card stock, use a pencil to draw the outline of your chosen mustache style or trace a pattern from these templates.

  2. Cut out the shape and use a large needle to poke holes on either side. (For a fancier 'stache, trace the mustache shape on a magazine photograph of hair, cut out the shape, and glue it onto the card stock.)

  3. Pull a 20-inch length of clear elastic beading string through the holes and tie knots on what will be the inside of the mustache.
