This clay eggshell is just the thing for storing coins, trinkets, or tiny keepsakes.

Materials
  • Balloon
  • Self-drying clay
  • Butter knife

Instructions
  1. Inflate a balloon until it's about 4 inches in diameter.

  2. Mold a fist-sized ball of self-drying clay around three quarters of the balloon, leaving the top open.

  3. Use a butter knife to give the clay a cracked edge.

  4. Once the clay begins to set, pop and remove the balloon.

  5. Allow the egg to harden completely before using it.
