Instructions
  1. Click on each of the following links for your printable skeleton mask, hip bone, ribs and bones.

  2. Paste each print-out on to card stock, making sure the glue is on the back of the costume images. This mask doesn't really need to be colored in, as skeletons are white, but your child can color it in if desired.

  3. Mom, Dad, or another grown-up can cut out the mask and bones. Remember to cut out the eyes and mouth, so your child can see and breathe. The smaller holes can be difficult to cut. Using an X-acto knife with a cutting board will help.

  4. Punch one hole on either side of the mask (in the designated area). Reinforce the holes with tape so the mask doesn't rip while being worn. Thread the string through the mask and secure it. Make sure the mask fits snugly, but not too tightly, around your child's head. With this mask, the string may be going around the outside of the hood of the shirt, so make sure it's plenty long.

  5. Using the double-sided masking tape, stick the bones, rib cage, and hip bone cutouts to your child's shirt and pants. (This can also be done with scotch tape, stitches, or Velcro.)

  6. Using white paint, draw bones for the hand and fingers on the black gloves. (You can also paint foot bones on the shoes, if you want.)

  7. Carefully help your child get into his or her newly created body.

  8. Add the mask, and your skeleton is ready to trick-or-treat the night away!

Tips:
To create a neat effect, paint the bones on the hands and shoes with glow-in-the-dark paint, or use the bones as a stencil and paint directly onto the clothing.
