Forget-Me-Not Elephant
- Total Time Needed:
- 1 Hour
Trust this clever little pachyderm to deliver an unforgettable message. Not only does each elephant have a great memory for love poems; he's also hiding a candy present to sweeten the deal.
- Materials
-
- Color-Aid paper
- Craft knife
- Art paper
- Scissors
- Marker
- Small wrapped candy
- Instructions
-
-
Draw an elephant silhouette onto a folded sheet of art paper or print one out from our ready-made template.
-
Cut out the elephant (being careful not to cut through the fold at the top of its back) and then use a craft knife to cut two small slits on each side of the head (a parent's job). -
Cut two little paper hearts from the Color-Aid paper and write a message on one side. Fold the hearts in half lengthwise and slip them through the slits to form the elephant's ears and tusks. -
Glue the trunks together at the tip.
-
For an added surprise, tape a wrapped candy inside the elephant.
