Fly-Catching Frog

Total Time Needed:
1 Hour

You and your child can transform a simple party favor into a fabulous toy frog that can flick its tongue just like real ones do when they try to catch flies.

Materials
  • Frog outline (download here, see Step 1)
  • Green craft foam
  • 2 large googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Red party blower

Instructions
  1. Download the frog outline.

  2. Fly-Catching Frog - Step 2 Then cut it out and trace it onto a piece of green craft foam.

  3. Cut out the shape, cutting 2 small X's where indicated. Glue on 2 large googly eyes and allow the glue to dry completely.

  4. To add the tongue, fold back the frog?s head and push the mouthpiece of a red party blower first through cut A, then through cut B.

  5. To flick the frog's tongue, simply blow through the tube.
