Batty Finger Puppets

Strung from the ceiling with nylon thread or fishing line, these bewitching winged creatures set a properly spooky party mood right off the bat -- particularly once you cut them loose and hand them out for the guests to play with.
- Materials

- Sheet of paper
- Black construction paper
- Scissors
- Pen
- White or silver crayon
- Glue
- Large pom-pom
- 2 self-adhesive googly eyes

To make a batch, create a template by drawing a large bat on a single sheet of paper or just click on the following link for a printable bat template. To view the .pdf file, you'll need Acrobat Reader, which is available for free from the Adobe site. Use it to cut as many bats as you like out of black construction paper (cut the finger holes too.)

To give the wings dimension, fold them and outline them with white or silver crayon. Glue on a large pom-pom body just below the ears and above the finger holes.

Once the glue is dry, stick on 2 self-adhesive googly eyes.
